Irregardless of whether it is process piping or utilities piping we have the experience to design, fabricate, install at site, testing and commission the piping system for you. Different application and usage will have different parameters such as flow, temperature and pressure ratings, hygiene requirements and safety provisions. Thus, it is essential to have a comprehensive and well thought out piping system to have sufficient supply.
Process and Utility Piping for Malaysian Plants
Whether the line carries process fluid, steam, chilled water, compressed air or a hygienic food product, Merit Berg designs, fabricates, installs, tests and commissions piping systems for manufacturers across Malaysia. Every application brings its own parameters — flow, temperature, pressure rating, hygiene requirement and safety provision — and the pipe specification, material, jointing method and instrumentation follow from those.
Piping Works We Deliver
- Process piping — carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy lines for chemical, oleochemical and semiconductor plants
- Hygienic and dairy piping — orbital-welded stainless steel to food and beverage standards
- Steam and condensate — including traps, insulation and expansion provision
- Utilities piping — compressed air, chilled water, cooling water, nitrogen and gas lines
- Underground and buried piping — laying, bedding, protection and inspection chambers
- Instrumentation — flow, pressure, temperature and level instruments, impulse lines and valve actuation
- Testing and commissioning — hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, vacuum leak testing, flushing, passivation and handover documentation
P&IDs, Fabrication and Site Installation
Most piping projects start on paper. Our engineering design team produces piping and instrumentation diagrams and isometrics, our workshop prefabricates spools alongside our steel fabrication capability, and our site crew installs, supports, tests and commissions. Doing all three under one roof is what keeps site rework down.
Where Piping Meets the Rest of the Plant
Piping is rarely the whole job. It connects to machines we place under equipment installation, is controlled by valves and instruments wired up through automation and controls, and is kept in service by our maintenance and repair team. Vacuum transport pipework for an automated waste collection system is a specialised extension of the same discipline.
