Metal Detection for Biscuit, Chocolate and Confectionery
Confectionery is one of the harder applications in metal detection. Chocolate carries a strong product effect from its fat and moisture content, foil wrapping is conductive, and moulded and slab product often runs flat and thin at high speed. Getting reliable sensitivity here means matching the technology to the product rather than dropping in a standard head.

Waferthin and Flat-Product Inspection
Flat, thin product presented on a wide belt suits a low-profile waferthin aperture: reducing the aperture height dramatically improves sensitivity compared with a conventional square opening running the same belt width. For foil-wrapped confectionery, foil-compatible inspection or x-ray is usually the right answer, because a conventional detector will read the wrapper itself.
When X-Ray Is the Better Choice
If you need to find glass, stone, dense plastic or bone as well as metal, or the pack is metallised, x-ray inspection covers what a metal detector cannot. We supply both and will tell you honestly which one your line needs.
