SIDEMEKI Side-Shooting X-Ray for Bottles and Cans

Tall packages defeat overhead x-ray. When a bottle, can or carton is taller than it is wide, a top-down beam has to pass through the full height of product and the result is poor contrast where it matters. SIDEMEKI fires the beam from the side instead, with the product travelling upright — which is how it already runs on your line.

What SIDEMEKI Inspects

  • Bottles, cans, jars and cartons in beverage and liquid food lines
  • Solid product in tall upright containers
  • Fill level verification, so underfills and overfills are caught inline
  • Cap and closure inspection for missing or misapplied closures
  • Foreign body detection for metal, glass, stone and dense plastic

Beyond Contamination

Because SIDEMEKI already images every container, the same pass can enforce fill level and closure quality and give pack-by-pack traceability. For most beverage lines that quality function, not contamination alone, is what justifies the machine.

Other models: MEKI (most compact, small primary packs), MEKI ONE (all-in-one with rejector and lockable bin), MEKI C (curtain-free, for cups and unstable packs), MIDMEKI (medium products and trays) and SIDEMEKI (side-shooting, for bottles and cans).

X-Ray or Metal Detection?

If metal is the only contaminant you need to catch and your packaging is not metallised, a metal detector is usually the cheaper answer. X-ray earns its cost when you also need glass, stone, bone or dense plastic detection, when packs are foil or metallised, or when you want fill level, mass and count checks in the same pass.

Installation and Line Integration

We integrate inspection equipment into new and existing lines across Malaysia: infeed and outfeed transfer under conveyor systems, positioning and tie-in under equipment installation, reject logic and reporting under automation and controls, and servicing under maintenance and repair.
