Pipeline Metal Detection for Pumped Product
Where product is pumped rather than conveyed — minced and emulsified meat, sauces, purees, dairy, slurries and pastes — inspection has to happen inside the pipe. A pipeline metal detector mounts inline, inspects the full product stream under pressure, and diverts contaminated product through an automatic reject valve without stopping the line.
Why Pipeline Detection Beats Post-Pack Inspection
Catching contamination before filling means one diverted slug of product instead of a batch of rejected finished packs. It also protects the filler and downstream equipment from tramp metal, and it removes the packaging material from the detection equation entirely, which usually improves achievable sensitivity.
