MIDMEKI X-Ray Inspection for Medium Products and Trays
MIDMEKI is the step up in product size from the compact MEKI machines. It carries a wider conveyor and a larger detection zone, sized for medium food products and for trays holding several smaller items in one pass. Beam is overhead, product runs flat on a horizontal conveyor.

Published Specification
Detection area 390 x 200 mm. Conveyor speed from 0.1 to 1.0 m/s depending on variant. Maximum load 5 kg or 20 kg depending on variant. X-ray generator 40 to 80 kV, 0.2 to 5.0 mA, maximum 200 W. Linear detector 0.4 mm. IP65 washdown rating. Machine height 2020 mm, depth 702 mm. Weight approximately 250 kg. X-ray leakage below 1 microsievert per hour. Confirm the variant and current specification at quotation stage.
Note on Bulk and Loose Product
MIDMEKI inspects packaged product. If you need to inspect unpackaged loose or bulk product such as nuts, seeds, dried fruit or cut vegetables in free fall or on a bulk belt, that is a different machine in the range and we will specify it separately. Ask us rather than assuming MIDMEKI covers it.

X-Ray or Metal Detection?
If metal is the only contaminant you need to catch and your packaging is not metallised, a metal detector is usually the cheaper answer. X-ray earns its cost when you also need glass, stone, bone or dense plastic detection, when packs are foil or metallised, or when you want fill level, mass and count checks in the same pass.
