MEKI Compact Food X-Ray Inspection System

MEKI Food X-Ray Inspection
MEKI is the most compact machine in the Mekitec food x-ray range, built for small primary-packaged products on a horizontal conveyor with an overhead beam. It detects metal, glass, stone, bone and dense plastics regardless of product moisture, salt content or packaging material, including metallised and aluminium film that a conventional metal detector cannot see through.
Where MEKI Fits
- Small primary packs — sachets, pouches, flow-wrapped and carton-packed product
- Lines where floor space is the binding constraint
- Products in foil or metallised packaging
- Snack, confectionery, bakery, dairy and convenience food lines
Published Specification
Detection area 240 x 110 mm. Conveyor speed 0.1 to 1.3 m/s. Maximum load 5 kg. X-ray generator 30 to 60 kV, 0.2 to 2.5 mA, maximum 100 W. IP54. Machine height 2000 mm, depth 515 mm. Weight approximately 100 kg. Confirm the current specification against the manufacturer datasheet at quotation stage.
MEKI or MEKI ONE?
MEKI is the base inspection unit. If you need the rejector, reject confirmation sensor and lockable reject bin supplied as one integrated critical control point package, look at MEKI ONE instead.
Compare the X-Ray Range
Other models: MEKI (most compact, small primary packs), MEKI ONE (all-in-one with rejector and lockable bin), MEKI C (curtain-free, for cups and unstable packs), MIDMEKI (medium products and trays) and SIDEMEKI (side-shooting, for bottles and cans).
X-Ray or Metal Detection?
If metal is the only contaminant you need to catch and your packaging is not metallised, a metal detector is usually the cheaper answer. X-ray earns its cost when you also need glass, stone, bone or dense plastic detection, when packs are foil or metallised, or when you want fill level, mass and count checks in the same pass.
Installation and Line Integration
We integrate inspection equipment into new and existing lines across Malaysia: infeed and outfeed transfer under conveyor systems, positioning and tie-in under equipment installation, reject logic and reporting under automation and controls, and servicing under maintenance and repair.
